“My name is Nisha Devi, and I am the mother of a beautiful 2-year-old girl, Arpita. She is my whole world, my reason to live. But today, I am watching her childhood slip away because of a cruel disease—retinoblastoma, cancer in both of her eyes.

We come from a small village in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Life was never easy for us, but we were happy. Then, a few years ago, my husband met with a terrible accident. He became disabled and could no longer work. Our world collapsed, and we were left struggling to survive. Somehow, I managed to keep our family together, but now, my little girl is fighting a battle I cannot win alone.

When Arpita’s eyes started turning red and swollen, I thought it was just an infection. But when her vision started fading, my heart sank. I took her from one hospital to another, borrowing money from whoever would help. Finally, doctors at AIIMS Delhi confirmed my worst fear—Arpita has eye cancer. Without urgent treatment, she will lose her eyesight forever. Without treatment, she may not survive.

I have nothing left to sell, no one left to turn to. My husband’s accident already pushed us into poverty, and now, my daughter’s disease is taking her life away. I cannot bear the thought of my little girl living in darkness, or worse, losing her completely. I am just a helpless mother begging for help to save her child.

Every moment counts. Arpita needs immediate treatment, and I cannot afford it. Please, I beg you, help me save my daughter. Any amount, big or small, can bring her closer to life-saving care. Your kindness can give her the gift of sight, the gift of life.
