My name is Vijay, and I am writing this because my little boy, Vaibhav, is fighting for his life. He is just a baby, only 1 year and 4 months old. He hasn’t even started speaking properly yet, but he is already facing a monster like cancer.
A few weeks ago, we saw a strange white shine in his eye. We thought it was just the light, but the doctors at AIIMS told us it’s Retinoblastoma (eye cancer). Our world just collapsed. How can a baby go through chemotherapy and surgery? He doesn’t understand why he’s in pain or why he’s stuck in a hospital bed.
We have come all the way to Delhi to save him, but the cost of the treatment is more than everything we own. I am just a simple man, and I feel helpless watching my son suffer because I don’t have enough money to pay for his surgery.
